Health Anew Pupp Box Review

Recently, I was given products to trial from Health Anew. Health Anew is run by my lovely mother, Marie, who is a self-employed distributor for Forever Living products. The idea behind Forever Living is that everything is natural and good for you. All of the products are also cruelty-free, which is always good to know. I was given 'Pupp boxes' with some products to try out- most of it was skincare and personal care products as my mum knew that was what I was most keen to try.

Sonya Aloe Purifying Cleanser
As someone with dry skin, I'm always looking for a nice, creamy cleanser that isn't going to dry my skin out and this cleanser did the trick. It left my skin feeling so soft, but also very clean without any residue (because ain't nothing worse than cleansing your skin, only to be left feeling like you've stuck your face in a can of oil). I can't speak for its talents as a makeup remover, as I tend to remove my makeup separately before going in with my cleanser, but for a second cleanse it was fab. I think this would also be lovely as a morning cleanser.

Aloe Moisturising Lotion
Again, with my dry skin, it can be quite a task to find a moisturiser that is rich enough for me- seriously, my skin sucks that stuff in like a dementor. #dryskinproblems. This lotion left my face feeling really soft and moisturised without irritating it at all. It gives just the right level of hydration, without being too much. It also sinks into the skin fairly quickly so it works really nicely underneath makeup. I would totally recommend it, particularly if you have dry skin.

Aloe Activator and Mask Powder
These products actually come separately and the Aloe activator can be used on its own as a cleanser, but when mixed together they make a rejuvenating facial mask. To use it, you mix the products together, apply with a brush and let it dry for around 30 minutes. It claims to tighten the skin and smooth over fine lines. Luckily, I'm not quite at the age where fine lines are a major concern yet (oh god, now that I've said it, I'll wake up tomorrow looking like the Crypt Keeper...). However, it did leave my skin feeling very smooth and it definitely felt firmer the next morning.  A word of caution for when you apply this- sit back and relax, because you pretty much won't be able to move your face for the next half hour. You may also look a little bit like a burn victim. Ah, the things we do for beauty...

Forever Aloe Scrub
This scrub takes the form of a gel containing tiny micro-beads that gently exfoliate the skin. It's designed to be used on face and body - however, as I tend to be a bit paranoid about using scrubs on my face, I stuck to using it on my arms and legs. It wasn't harsh at all and left my skin feeling very smooth. It also fairly moisturising on the skin and didn't leave it feeling dry as some scrubs can.

Aloe Jojoba Shampoo and Conditioning Rinse
I have very fine hair that tends to get oily pretty quickly, so I tend to look for hair care that isn't going to weigh my hair down. I really enjoyed this shampoo- it was very clarifying and left my hair feeling perfectly clean without drying it out. I usually have to wash my hair every two days, but this shampoo gave me a full extra day between washes which is pretty much unheard of for me. The shampoo went perfectly with the conditioning rinse, a lighter alternative to a heavy conditioner. Most conditioners are too heavy for my hair and tend to weigh it down, but this was just the perfect level of moisture for me. I would totally recommend this duo if you have fine, oily hair.

Forever Bright Tooth Gel
I wasn't quite sure what to expect from a toothgel made from Aloe Vera and wondered if it would still clean my teeth without fluoride, but it does leave your mouth feeling extra clean. It has a mild minty flavour, you wouldn't know it was Aloe Vera. Although the product itself makes no claims about this, this toothgel worked very well at whitening my teeth. I used it for six days and, as you can see from the before and after pictures, it did leave my teeth looking whiter. It may not be a dramatic difference - it's not going to work any miracles- but for someone who is very conscious of having yellow teeth, I am grateful for any difference at all. It has been more effective at whitening my teeth than any whitening toothpaste I have tried in the past. It uses natural ingredients to subtly brighten your teeth in a natural-looking way- no Ross Geller situations over here.

                                                      Before                                                      After
Overall, I would totally recommend trying products from this brand. There's no nasty chemicals, they're all made from natural ingredients and everything is cruelty free. All of these bonuses aside, the products themselves are damn good and definitely worth a try. If you fancy giving any of these products a go, you can find Health Anew over here.
